Rapidly growing boutique advertising agency Lucky Dog Creative are all about first impressions – if that first impression is “Wow! We really want to work with you”. As a creatively led company, they needed a new Business Card that showcased their skill at brand management, while retaining a quirky personality and trademark logo.

Design Inspiration

Lucky Dog Creative design logos and brand identity for companies so it was exciting to collaborate with them on their own message. I used visual metaphors and structured type to create something unique, quirky and lighthearted for their new Business Cards.”

All the comments so far are great feedback. I myself love the color orange….so I am sad to see it is gone. Maybe a hint or touch of orange on the new card for continuity.

also I think the word “agency” is old school (er, I am 50 so…….) but there are times when you use the term Lucky Dog Creative and then you say ad agency. I like the tag “a new breed of ad agency” but again, not sold on the term “agency” I know the word “tribe” is popular now…..is that too obvious?

If you like these designs I would really tighten things up before you went mainstream…use these ideas here….and put your own mark on it too…

    overall very awesome job!

Am I the only one who finds this wrong? Yes, the new cards turned out great, but if you’re a creative agency, you should be designing your own cards. When I see a business card for a design firm or creative agency, I use that as a judge of their creative ability, as I assume they must have had the skill to design their own logo and cards if they’re offering that service to others.

Great work Michael, you’ve done an awesome job, but I think that just makes it worse. I don’t see anything they’ve done on their website with the level of creativity found on these cards, and if I hired them based on these cards, I would expect that they would be able to deliver this type of creativity. I personally find it very unethical for design companies to be marketing themselves with someone else’s design.

Lucky Dog needs to decide on its branding. What is the name of the company? I see up to five possible brands on a single card: Madison Ave, Main St, lucky dog, Advertising on Command, and I couldn’t figure out why their website was creative.com . . . All this before I read the blurb and found out the real name of the company. I hate to disagree with Moo, but rethink this one. Now, is that luckydogcreative.com?

Lucky Dog Creative is a very busy, rapidly growing, new breed of ad agency. While we’re busy doing amazing ad campaigns for the Phoenix Mercury and Phoenix Coyotes, building the HARO website, branding and raising awareness for EmpowHER.com and other big names, it’s hard to find time for our own promotion. When Moo announced the Business Card Project, we had to take a shot at it, and we love the results. Michael has a great career ahead of him. We love Moo and use them frequently. You should too!
