Erica Swallow is a tech-savvy writer and editor with a strength in social media marketing. Although her old business cards incorporated unique photos, they didn’t always express something about her profession. She wanted her new cards to be fun and social media focused. Our designers included a QR code that links to her personal website on the ‘details’ side of her cards and also added her Twitter, LinkedIn and blog information.

Design Inspiration

“I could tell just through our email conversations that Erica had a striking and fun personality, and I wanted to tie in the various elements of her QR code, picture and favorite color (orange) into one very small MiniCard that was also just as fun. When I think ’social media’ the first thing that comes to mind is birds chattering on a telephone line, so I incorporated a bunch of chattering ’swallows’ on her cards to represent that.”

Carol — I know what you mean, but I actually chose the photo, because my previous cards had a photo that showcased the dolled-up version of me. I like being realistic. :-) Plus, I think it’s a hilarious photo and it captures the real me.

I’m not sure about the photo. Love the birds and telegraph lines.
