Downtown Custom Printwear, a screen printing and embroidery shop located just outside Boston, approached The Business Card Project with the goal of developing an entirely new look for their business cards. Their old single-sided card felt dull and corporate; not the feeling they want to convey to potential customers. DCP is a creative company and wanted their business cards to reflect their fun and artistic style.

Design Inspiration

“By using a black, white, and red color palette, I created a powerful design presence for Downtown Custom Printwear, symbolizing structure and power. Their logo was recently redesigned, but they didn’t feel like it was at home in its previous design. I used their new logo as the primary design element, incorporating it into both the silhouettes and t-shirt designs.”

    I do not think the card is quite professional enough. Great idea but you defiantly need to develop more of your companies brand identity. I immediately would not have chose this card to represent a printwear company? In terms of printwear, business cards, and stationary? Not quite sure what your company does?

    love this redesign! The old card has no personality, while the new looks completely current, is extremely eycatching and speaks directly to the target market.

    Nice card – you get an instant (visual) sense of what they do upon seeing the card. It’s edgy yet simple.

    I really like this card redesign because it speaks to what the company sells. The other one I liked was Farrell Photography. The others were a little bland and didn’t show as much imagination.
